Doctor Larry's Automotive Specialists was established in February 2004, and is located in Humble, Texas. Though it may be Doctor Larry's first Automotive Repair facility, owned and operated, he's far from "new" to this industry. Larry has been in automotive repair industry for over 30 years. He was born and raised in Arlington Heights, Illinois where he obtained a degree in Automotive Technology from the Triton Junior College in 1975. He later moved to Portland, Oregon where he continued to pursue his dreams as a Master Technician.

Being the best at automotive repairs still wasn't good enough. In 1990 to 1993, he became a late model Nascar driver. He furthered his education and became certified through the Allen Institute in 1986, then achieved his certification in Mitchell in 1991. His knowledge was becoming vast, but still, he wanted to perfect his talents. In 1992, he received certification in IMACA.

Aside from the mainstream of automobile repair, his hobbies are restoring Antique/Classic Motorcycles & Automobiles. He built and restored several classic Harley's and Indians. His best was his own classic 1959 FLH Tank Shift, Bagger (Harley Davidson Pan Head). His personal hot rod was a White 1970 1/2 Z-28 Camaro. She packed a mean punch in the 1/4 mile.

Doctor Larry moved to Texas in 1993. Owning his own repair facility in the Lone Star State was still his overall goal and dream. He trained in Bosch at German Autohaus in Dyno Diagnostics (repair and tuning). He continued educating himself and gained many certifications, ASA Certified in 1996, BG Certified in 2003. He has successfully mastered work on all makes and models of automobiles; Imports, Europeans, Japanese, & Domestics. Doctor Larry is highly skilled in On Board Diagnostics (OBD) and OBD II Diagnosis and repair. Larry is a long-time Pioneer (since 1979) of Emissions Repairs.

In the last year, with the assistance and guidance of friend, Gregg Perkin, P.E., Principal of Engineering Partners Int'l. Inc. Larry's, with his deep rooted knowledge of automobiles has advanced himself in a new field of Automobile Insurance Investigations & the mechanical side of Accident Re-Construction. He soon aspires to be a credited Accident Scene Re-Construction Investigator.

Finally, he planted his roots in Humble, Texas as Owner of Doctor Larry's Automotive Specialists. He works his heart out (Deep in the Heart of Texas), Striving to give all of his customers equal & demanding attention so that satisfaction is never questioned. With his fender side manor, the personal touch & care for your automobile needs is back to stay!!
